Rosie's Birthday Club, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization serving children, has an unpaid social media internship opportunity available. The student intern would gain experience in public relations and marketing by promoting Rosie's Birthday Club events in the Rockford area using a variety of social media sites. The student will download pictures, develop messaging, and utilize apps for visual media.
Minimum qualifications: Student should be self directed, have good communication skills, be knowledgeable of social media, and like to have fun! Experience with MailChimp or Constant Contact is a plus. Hours are flexible with approximately 10 -15 a hours per week anticipated. The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. General Job Overview: Provide technical support for all studio systems, digital automation systems, computer systems and live remote broadcasts, etc. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Perform routine studio equipment maintenance and repair, as well as configuration changes Computer workstation installation, administration and troubleshooting, including virus eradication Provide user support on computers and printers Assist Technical Team on projects Setup remote broadcasts and Live studio “Sound Lounge” broadcasts Be on call on a rotating basis with other members of the technical team Be able to work nights and weekends as needed Qualifications: Experience working with audio equipment and basic test equipment Computer system support and installation experience Clean driving record Education and/or Experience: Experience working in broadcast engineering desirable Data wiring experience desired Understanding of audio systems Language Skills: Good communication skills required Be able to explain procedures in Non-Technical terms Other Skills and Abilities: Must have desire to learn all technical aspects of Radio Broadcasting Strong mechanical skills required Ability to work well under pressure Ability to work well as a team player Be familiar with electrical systems Be able to read schematics and drawings Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to work in tight spaces Mid-West Family Broadcasting is an equal opportunity employer and women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
