Becky Cook-Kendall, Executive Director of the Rockford Health Council, has requested if there are any RVC students who would like practical experience assisting her with some activities at the Council, such as website design, website update, help with the Healthy Community Survey, quarterly newsletters, etc.
This is a small non-profit that does not have a lot of staff or resources, but who has a Board with a lot of connections in the community. It may be great experience for a student who is looking to get practical experience in their field and get exposure. The individual in this internship role would be providing remote desktop support. This support could range from individual PC’s to servers. This role would also be conducting server monitoring and maintenance, and test, restore and back-up maintenance. Lastly, this position would be responsible for keeping clients updated on the progress on their open ticket. The student intern would gain experience in public relations and marketing by promoting Rosie's Birthday Club events in the Rockford area using a variety of social media sites. The student will download pictures, develop messaging, and utilize apps for visual media.
Minimum qualifications: Student should be self directed, have good communication skills, be knowledgeable of social media, and like to have fun!
