Rock Valley College is proud to partner with Apple Inc., to teach Apple’s new course in its Swift programming language. At Rock Valley College, Intro to App Development with Swift will start in the fall. Students will use NEW iPads in class to learn the Swift programming language.
Currently, the United States has 1462 Community Colleges. Rock Valley College, along with 30 other Community Colleges, Has Partnered with Apple to Offer the NEW Swift Curriculum. The Intro to App Development with Swift course is designed to help students build a solid foundation in programming fundamentals using Swift as the language. Throughout the course, students get practical experience with the tools, techniques, and concepts needed to build a basic iOS app from scratch. They’ll also learn user interface design principles, which are fundamental to programming and making great apps. Register now for Fall 2017 CIS-280 while seats are available!

The Summer 2017 iOSBootCamp wrapped up Saturday, June 3rd. Students successfully created four complete apps in just four Saturdays. This was the fourth iOSBootcamp. The bootcamp teaches students how to create mobile apps using Apple's popular Swift language. App design concepts are also covered in the following areas: Mapkit, SpriteKit (Gaming), Database (Core Data & JSON), and Media (Photos and Pictures).
